Post Shift Podcast #113 - Goat Rodeo Capital

This was a truly unique and insightful conversation of venture capital in the hospitality sphere, which is interestingly new in the economics of the business of the industry. CJ and James were great guests showing that when you take a new perspective to the industry, that you can create and grow truly unique aspects.

WHO IS GOAT RODEO?

Founding Partners Carlton Fowler and James Pelligrini are both Alcohol Beverage industry experts with stellar track records.  They have led New Brand Development and Brand Finance teams within the corporate landscape and co-founded a brand development consulting firm serving clients both big and small.

The name Goat Rodeo stems from the belief that any promising early stage company has one or two things that they do really well, a strong vision, and the rest is usually a goat rodeo. We want to help founders realize their vision by providing growth capital and guidance to achieve scale.

CARLTON FOWLER

Carlton is a graduate of UC Berkeley with a B.A. in Political Science and University of Michigan with an MBA in Strategy and Marketing. Hailing from the Sierra Nevadas, you can often find him enjoying the natural splendor of Northern California. Two things make him happiest: eating/drinking well with friends & family and tilting against the windmill that is the three tiered beverage alcohol system (we all concede he probably needs some healthier hobbies...)

JAMES PELLIGRINI

James earned a bachelors in Mathematics from The College of the Holy Cross where he was a member of the lacrosse team before completing his education with an MBA in Finance and Strategy from the Simon Business School. A transplant from the Northeast, James has adapted well to year-round golfing weather (unfortunately-his short game remains average). He loves a spirited conversation over drinks almost as much as a really well built financial model.
