Post Shift Shot #133 - BC Minimum Wage Increase
I have a lot of people ask me to give my opinion on this, and I am in a very unique position between mentoring people at a staff level and consulting and strategizing with owners and operators on their establishments. I need to focus and see both sides as an equal equation, I took a number of times to record this because every time I did, I found more information to add. I am hoping that I got it nailed this time around, the minimum wage is still well below the designated living wage for Victoria and with tips been severely reduced over the last year along with pandemic restrictions to restaurants; it's a tedious balance between staff and establishment.
