Been wanting to do this for a while, I reflect a lot for better or worse after 20 years in the industry. These are my ten points that I hope will help young bartenders and industry people look to the future and beyond in this fast changing industry.

  1. Take your time

  2. Travel as much as possible

  3. Don’t work too much

  4. Don’t try and appeal to anyone else

  5. Take more risks

  6. You never know as much as you think you do

  7. Hang out with your friends more

  8. Talk to a professional more often

  9. Look after yourself more, mentally and physically

  10. Everything is going to be alright
